On a gray and cold November day, we made our way to Knödelwirtschaft Nord. The hearty food was perfect for the gray winter day.
The atmosphere is rather rustic, with wooden tables and candles, but it was still very cozy. We were particularly impressed by the service, which was very efficient, friendly, and effortless.

One of us chose the Frittatensuppe as a starter and thought it was very good.

For the main course, we all chose the Knödelduo with Parmesan, butter, and salad. We had a selection consisting of cheese Knödel, truffle Knödel, beetroot Knödel, and spinach and ricotta Knödel. We couldn’t decide on a favorite and found them all very tasty and highly recommendable. The salad that came with it was also very fresh and tasted great.

For dessert, we shared the Topfenknödel with butter, cinnamon, sugar, cream, and nuts. However, we weren’t quite as impressed with the dessert and found it rather plain.

As the name of the restaurant suggests, we definitely recommend trying the Knödel in all their variations. They are well worth it.
