On the first extremely cold and gray weekend of the year, we made our way to Prenzlauer Berg.
The first sip from the Jarritos Mandarine bottle and the colorful ambience of the small Maria Bonita brought back summer memories.
We ordered the guacemole with corn chips, the burrito camote, the tacos camote and the quesadillas de queso.

The guacemole with corn chips completely won us all over. Outstanding and very fresh.
The burito camote with sweet potato, chipotle chili and cream was delicious, delicious, delicious. The best burrito we’ve had this year – better than any burrito in the USA this year.

The tacos camote with sweet potato, chipotle chili and cream were also very tasty and came with extra cheese. However, we would have been more impressed with fresh cheese and unfortunately they softened very quickly.

The quesadillas de queso contained Monterrey Jack cheese, feta cheese and red salsa. Unfortunately, they didn’t quite convince us. The cheese mixture was good, especially the feta was very tasty, but the contents were too soupy for us. Overall, we would have liked a larger vegetarian selection – but meat eaters will definitely get their money’s worth here (and we’ve also heard that meat tastes good here).
